Telangana is preparing to take a major leap in healthcare by developing a Health City in the upcoming Future City, designed to meet international standards and position the state as a global medical tourism hub. The initiative aims to combine advanced technology with accessible care, ensuring quality treatment reaches every corner of the state.
Speaking at a healthcare innovation event held at T-Hub, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the proposed Health City will integrate artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to strengthen both public and private healthcare delivery. He said, The focus is on making Telangana a model state for future ready medical infrastructure.
A key pillar of the plan is health profiling for every citizen, alongside early cancer screening programs for women. The government is also pushing for a complete transformation of government hospitals by adopting modern systems and digital tools to improve patient care and efficiency.
The minister highlighted that Telangana has already introduced an AI based Telangana Digital Exchange to boost research and innovation across sectors. Along with healthcare, the government is working to create a ready to work workforce aligned with current industry needs, supported by skill development initiatives and upcoming institutional expansions.
Efforts are also underway to balance regional growth by strengthening tier two and tier three cities on par with Hyderabad. New airports proposed in Warangal and Adilabad are expected to improve connectivity and attract investments, especially in healthcare and technology driven industries.
The government invited innovators, entrepreneurs, and healthcare leaders to collaborate in building solutions that blend technology with compassion, reinforcing Telangana’s ambition to lead India’s next phase of healthcare development.
