India’s push to strengthen its position in artificial intelligence received fresh momentum during a high level meeting in New Delhi where global technology leaders and Indian industry heads gathered for an AI summit.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held detailed discussions with leading technology executives on building stronger partnerships and advancing India’s role in the global AI ecosystem. The Prime Minister said such engagements would help deepen cooperation and unlock new opportunities for innovation.
During the summit Modi also met Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Sharing details later the Prime Minister said the discussions focused on India’s progress in artificial intelligence and ways in which Google could collaborate with talented Indian students and domain experts.
Sundar Pichai highlighted the potential for meaningful partnerships between Google and India’s growing pool of skilled professionals. The conversations reflected a shared interest in leveraging technology to support education research and innovation.
