Revanth Reddy Calls for AI Ministry, Announces Telangana AI Startup Village

Addressing a global audience at the prestigious Delhi AI Summit, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy delivered a strong message on India’s artificial intelligence future. He said AI has reached a stage where it can outperform human intelligence in specific domains and must be guided with clear national direction.

Revanth Reddy called on the Union government to establish a separate Ministry for Artificial Intelligence. He said such a ministry is essential to frame policy, regulate usage, protect national security and ensure ethical deployment of AI technologies across sectors. According to him, AI is no longer just another innovation but a turning point in human progress.

Highlighting Telangana’s vision, the Chief Minister announced plans to set up an AI Startup Village in the state. The proposed hub aims to support startups, researchers and innovators by providing infrastructure, policy backing and access to global technology partners. He said Telangana is prepared to become a launchpad for next generation AI enterprises.

Drawing parallels with historic innovations like electricity and the internet, Revanth Reddy described AI as a revolutionary force capable of reshaping economies and societies. He cautioned that global competition in AI is intensifying and stressed that India must not miss this opportunity, unlike past industrial revolutions.

He urged technology professionals to continuously upgrade their skills to match rapid technological changes. With India’s proven strength in software and services, he said the country should now lead in core AI technologies and advanced digital products.
