Telangana Government Tightens Oversight to Improve Gurukul Students Welfare

The Telangana government has rolled out a strict inspection system for Gurukul institutions, aiming to strengthen monitoring, accountability, and student welfare through regular reviews and mandatory reporting by officials.

  • Regular inspections ordered across Gurukul institutions.
  • Nodal officers assigned for close monitoring.
  • Monthly reports made compulsory for accountability.

The Telangana government has taken a firm step to strengthen the welfare of Gurukul students by introducing a structured and continuous inspection mechanism across the state. The initiative is aimed at ensuring better living conditions, academic standards, and overall safety of students studying in residential institutions.

As part of this move, the government has ordered the appointment of nodal officers and directed departments to prepare a detailed inspection calendar. Officials have been instructed to conduct reviews district wise, following a predefined schedule to ensure uniform supervision.

Along with scheduled inspections, the government has emphasized surprise visits to prevent lapses in administration. Authorities have been told to upload inspection reports immediately and share details of corrective actions without delay.

To maintain consistency and transparency, the state has made it mandatory for departments to submit consolidated reports every month by the fifth. The government believes this system will improve accountability and ensure that Gurukul students receive the care and facilities promised to them.
