Telangana Kesari 2026 Wrestling Championships Set to Begin on May 7
The Telangana Kesari 2026 wrestling championships will be held at LB Stadium Hyderabad from May 7 to 10 featuring Indian style bouts and the debut of women events.

Hyderabad is set to host the prestigious Telangana Kesari 2026 wrestling championships from May 7 to May 10 at the LB Stadium, bringing together top wrestlers from across the state for an intense display of Indian style wrestling.
Announcing the event, PCC Working President Anjan Kumar Yadav said the tournament will witness participation from nearly 500 wrestlers. He noted that this edition marks a significant milestone with the introduction of women competitions under the title Telangana Kumari for the first time.
The men’s champion will receive a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh along with a silver gada, while the women’s winner will be awarded Rs 1 lakh. Organisers believe the event will help promote traditional wrestling and encourage young talent across Telangana.
The four day championship is expected to attract large crowds and reaffirm Hyderabad’s status as a major hub for traditional sports in the state.
