Telangana has set its sights on 2047 with an ambitious goal of transforming the state into a top Logistic Hub in India. The government believes that strengthening the logistics ecosystem will not only power economic growth but also open the door to thousands of new jobs across sectors.
Speaking at Transport Logistic India 2026 in Mumbai, IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu outlined the long term roadmap under the Telangana Rising 2047 vision. He said logistics is one of the most decisive sectors influencing the national economy and added that Telangana is determined to double its contribution to the country’s GDP from the current five percent to ten percent.
The minister stressed that infrastructure expansion will be the backbone of this transformation. Major projects including the Regional Ring Road, Metro Phase Two, new airports, a proposed dry port and dedicated logistic hubs are expected to significantly enhance connectivity. Multimodal transport links, rail networks, air cargo facilities and modern warehousing systems will be integrated to ensure seamless movement of goods.
Digital integration and automation will also play a crucial role. The state is focusing on building a future ready ecosystem supported by transparent policies, green logistics practices and advanced digital platforms. With global supply chains evolving rapidly and sustainability becoming a priority, Telangana aims to leverage its strategic geographic location to attract international investors.
To support the industry’s workforce needs, the government is collaborating with Young India Skills University and other institutions to create ready to work professionals. Skill development programs are being aligned with industry requirements so that companies investing in logistics and warehousing can access trained human resources without delay.
Inviting entrepreneurs to invest in logistics, warehousing, green mobility and digital solutions, the minister assured faster approvals and a business friendly environment. Beyond manufacturing strength, Telangana now wants to be known for speed, efficiency and reliability in supply chains, positioning itself as a true logistic power house by 2047.
