India and Israel have taken their strategic partnership a step further with a series of key agreements covering AI collaboration, defence technology, agriculture and digital innovation. The understandings were reached during Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit to Israel, marking another milestone in ties between the two nations.

Addressing the Israeli Parliament Knesset, Modi said the growing partnership is driven by shared values and a common vision for innovation led growth. He stressed that cooperation between India and Israel is not limited to governments but rooted in people to people connections.

A major highlight of the visit was the push for deeper AI collaboration. Both sides agreed to promote joint research in artificial intelligence and quantum computing. Officials believe these emerging technologies will shape the next decade of economic and security cooperation.

Defence also featured prominently in the discussions. Under the Make in India initiative, the two countries moved forward on technology transfer in areas such as missiles and drone systems. Strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities while benefiting from Israeli expertise is seen as a win win strategy.

Cyber security cooperation received renewed focus as well. The countries signed a dedicated understanding to enhance information sharing and improve their ability to respond to cyber threats. They also reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism through coordinated action.

On the economic front, negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement have entered the final stages. Leaders expressed confidence that boosting bilateral trade would unlock new opportunities for businesses in both nations.

Digital payments formed another important part of the talks. Israel has agreed to explore the use of India Unified Payments Interface UPI platform, a move that could simplify transactions and encourage cross border financial integration.

Agriculture cooperation is set to expand with plans to establish 100 Centres of Excellence aimed at providing farmers with access to advanced technologies and best practices. These centres are expected to support productivity and sustainability in the farming sector.

At the conclusion of the visit, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the agreements as more than formal documents, calling them a reflection of the strong intellectual and emotional bond between the two countries.

With AI collaboration and defence agreements at the forefront, India and Israel appear determined to shape a future oriented partnership built on innovation, security and shared growth.
