- Hyderabad to London ticket prices surge
- Hyderabad to America airfares cross one lakh
- War impact disrupts Hyderabad flight routes
Air travelers flying out of Hyderabad are facing an unexpected shock as ticket prices to London and America have soared sharply. The ongoing war situation in the Middle East has forced airlines to change flight paths, leading to higher fares and longer travel times.
With airspace over conflict zones considered unsafe, airlines are avoiding routes that pass through affected regions. The detours have increased flying distance and fuel consumption, directly pushing up operational costs. At the same time, reduced flight frequency on certain routes has created intense demand for limited seats.
A one way ticket from Hyderabad to London on Tuesday was priced between sixty five thousand and ninety thousand rupees, nearly double the usual fare. Travel to Germany and other European cities has also seen steep hikes, with prices rising by two to three times compared to normal rates.
Flights to the United States have become even more expensive. A Hyderabad to New York ticket via Addis Ababa was reportedly priced close to one and a half lakh rupees. Apart from high fares, passengers are also experiencing extended journey durations due to altered routing and restricted airspace.
Connectivity between Hyderabad and the UAE has been severely hit. On a typical day, around five thousand passengers travel between Hyderabad and UAE destinations. However, more than fifty flights were cancelled in a single day at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Last minute cancellations and limited communication from airlines have left many passengers anxious and stranded.
The rerouted flights mean travelers are spending additional hours in the air, leading to fatigue and disrupted schedules. Industry sources suggest the situation may continue for a few more days depending on developments in the region.
Passengers planning travel from Hyderabad to London, America, Europe, or the Middle East are advised to check ticket prices in advance and stay updated through official airline communication. With demand rising and routes restricted, airfare volatility is likely to remain high in the coming days.
