Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the state government is committed to helping surrendered Maoists rebuild their lives and become part of mainstream society. He emphasized that those who choose the path of peace deserve an opportunity to lead a stable and dignified life.
The Chief Minister noted that the government is taking several steps to ensure that surrendered Maoists receive support to start a new phase of life. According to him the administration wants them to integrate into normal society and build a secure future for themselves and their families.
Revanth Reddy also praised the police department for its continuous efforts in encouraging Maoists to surrender. He said the police played a key role in building confidence among Maoists and convincing them to leave the path of violence.
During the occasion the Chief Minister specifically appreciated the work of Director General of Police Jitender and DIG Sumathi for their contribution in strengthening the surrender policy and facilitating peaceful reintegration.
He further stated that more Maoists are now responding positively to the government appeal and are coming out of forest areas to join normal social life. According to the Chief Minister such developments reflect the growing trust between the government and those who once followed the extremist path.
Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government will continue its rehabilitation initiatives to ensure that surrendered Maoists receive the necessary support education and livelihood opportunities to live peacefully within society.
