JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Schedule Released Registration to Begin After JEE Main Results
IIT Roorkee announced the complete JEE Advanced 2026 schedule for IIT admissions with registration starting in April exam on May 17 results on June 1 and counselling beginning June 2.

The schedule for JEE Advanced 2026 has been officially released by IIT Roorkee, providing clarity for students aspiring to secure admission in the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology. The national level entrance exam is conducted every year for admission into IITs for the upcoming academic session.
As per the announced timetable, the JEE Advanced 2026 examination will be held on May 17. The exam will take place in two sessions on the same day. Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 in the morning to 12 noon, while Paper 2 will take place in the afternoon from 2.30 to 5.30.
Online registration for Indian students will begin on April 23, which is a day after the final results of JEE Main are declared. Candidates will be able to complete their registration process until May 2. For international applicants, the application process will begin earlier from April 6.
Students will be able to download their admit cards from the official website between May 11 and May 17. Candidates appearing for the exam must carry the admit card along with a valid original identity proof to the examination centre.
The results of JEE Advanced 2026 will be announced on June 1 at 10 in the morning. Soon after the results are declared, the JoSAA counselling process for admission into IITs will begin on June 2.
Students who qualify in JEE Advanced will also have the opportunity to register for the Architecture Aptitude Test AAT 2026. The registration window for AAT will open on June 1 at 10 in the morning and continue until June 2 evening. The AAT examination will be conducted on June 4 and the results will be announced on June 7.
Only the top 250000 rank holders from JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. Candidates can attempt the exam for a maximum of two consecutive years. Students must appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced, as missing any one paper will make them ineligible for ranking in the merit list.
The examination will include questions from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics at the intermediate level. Based on the ranks secured in JEE Advanced, students will be offered admission into BTech programmes across 23 IITs in India.
