The passengers had reportedly arrived in Hyderabad on an AirAsia flight traveling from Hanoi through Kuala Lumpur. During routine monitoring customs officers noticed suspicious behavior from the travelers and decided to conduct a detailed inspection.

Officials scanned the luggage of the passengers and identified unusual items during the screening process. This prompted them to carry out a thorough search of the bags.

During the inspection authorities discovered hidden packets containing ganja carefully packed inside the luggage. The narcotic substance had been concealed in special packets to avoid detection during travel.

Further examination revealed that the total quantity of seized ganja weighed about 9.10 kilograms. Customs officials believe the drugs were being smuggled into the country for illegal distribution.
