Hyderabad TIMS Hospital Ready for Launch with Super Specialty Doctors Allocation

The Telangana government is preparing to inaugurate the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences hospital in Sanathnagar Hyderabad with advanced healthcare infrastructure and specialized medical services. The hospital is expected to begin operations around the Ugadi festival.
Authorities have already issued orders allocating super specialty doctors to the Hyderabad TIMS hospital to ensure the facility is ready to provide high level medical care. Specialists from several departments have been assigned to the new hospital.
At present nineteen super specialty doctors have been allocated to departments such as cardiology gastroenterology urology neurosurgery surgical gastroenterology nephrology and cardiothoracic surgery. These specialists will play a key role in delivering advanced treatment.
Officials said the hospital will mainly function as a center for complex heart surgeries and organ transplant procedures. The facility is being developed to provide world class medical care within the state.
The hospital has been built on an area of about twenty two point six acres with four major blocks and multiple floors. The project has been developed with an investment of around 968 crore rupees and includes a total capacity of one thousand beds.
Block A houses emergency services operation theaters and intensive care units while Block B includes the main outpatient department cath lab cardiac operation theater and centralized pharmacy.
Block C contains radiology facilities laboratories private wards and VIP suites while Block D includes administrative offices academic sections and an auditorium with seating capacity for two hundred people.
The hospital will also feature sixteen advanced operation theaters along with modern diagnostic facilities such as MRI CT scan and other specialized equipment.
Officials have confirmed that around two hundred doctors and nearly five hundred nurses and support staff will be required to operate the hospital fully and recruitment will be completed soon.
Trial operations at the hospital are expected to begin from March fifteen while final approvals from departments related to safety medical waste and regulatory compliance are also in progress.
The Hyderabad TIMS hospital will offer multiple medical services including orthopedics gynecology trauma care oncology neurology plastic surgery gastroenterology and general medicine. A modern pneumatic tube system will also be introduced to ensure faster delivery of medical supplies within the hospital.
