Xiaomi Pad 8 Introduced With Premium Display Fast Processor and AI Features

Technology company Xiaomi has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of the Xiaomi Pad 8, a premium device designed for users who expect powerful performance and an immersive display experience. The new tablet focuses on productivity, entertainment and seamless connectivity across devices.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset built on a 4nm architecture. The processor is designed to handle demanding applications, multitasking and high end gaming with ease. Its CPU configuration includes a high performance Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.2GHz along with multiple Cortex A720 cores operating at different speeds. Graphics performance is handled by the Adreno 825 GPU, delivering smooth visuals for games, videos and creative tasks.

A major highlight of the tablet is its 11.2 inch display that comes with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3200 by 2136 pixels, offering a crisp 3.2K viewing experience. The screen features a pixel density of about 345 pixels per inch, making text reading, photo editing and video streaming clear and detailed. The display also supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, ensuring fluid scrolling and smoother animations while navigating apps or browsing content.

Brightness levels can reach up to 800 nits, making the screen usable even in bright environments. The display also supports Adaptive HDR and Dolby Vision, enhancing color contrast and image quality during video playback. To reduce eye strain during long usage sessions, Xiaomi has included several eye protection certifications such as TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free and Circadian Friendly standards.

The tablet runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and comes equipped with the company’s HyperConnect feature. This allows users to integrate the tablet easily with other Xiaomi devices. Features such as cross device camera access, combined cameras, cross device unlocking and shared home screens are designed to create a more connected ecosystem. The Smart Hub option further simplifies switching between devices and sharing tasks.

Artificial intelligence powered features also play a key role in the Xiaomi Pad 8 experience. The tablet includes tools such as AI Writing, AI Speech Recognition, AI Translate Conversation and AI Interpreter. Other utilities like AI Calculator, AI Creativity Assistant and AI Art are intended to help users with productivity and creative projects. The Circle to Search function allows users to simply circle any object or text on the screen to search for related information instantly.

Battery performance is another strong point. The Xiaomi Pad 8 houses a large 9200mAh battery designed to support extended use for streaming, work or gaming sessions without frequent charging.

From a design perspective, the tablet features an all metal unibody construction that gives it a premium appearance while improving durability. Xiaomi has kept the profile slim with a thickness of just 5.75mm. Despite the large display, the device weighs around 485 grams, making it relatively comfortable to hold during long usage periods.

The display design also contributes to an immersive viewing experience with an 85.4 percent screen to body ratio. This helps maximize the visible screen area and makes the tablet suitable for watching movies, reading documents and multitasking.

Xiaomi has introduced the Pad 8 in three color options including Pine Green, Blue and Gray. The tablet is available in multiple storage configurations to cater to different user needs. The base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at around Rs 29,999. The 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model is priced at approximately Rs 32,999, while the top end version offering 12GB RAM and 256GB storage comes at about Rs 35,999.

With its high resolution display, flagship level processor and a range of AI powered tools, the Xiaomi Pad 8 aims to compete strongly in the premium tablet segment in India while offering a balanced mix of productivity and entertainment features.
