Telangana Assembly Budget Session to Continue Until March 31

The Telangana Assembly budget session will be held until March 31 as decided by the Business Advisory Committee after discussions on the schedule of debates and presentation of the state budget.

The Telangana Assembly budget session will continue until March 31 following a decision taken during the Business Advisory Committee meeting held in Hyderabad. The meeting was chaired by Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar who discussed the schedule of proceedings with leaders from various political parties.

The Assembly session began earlier in the day with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla addressing both Houses. After the Governor completed his speech, the Speaker adjourned the Assembly proceedings until Tuesday.

Later, members of the Business Advisory Committee gathered in the Speaker’s chamber to finalise the schedule for the Telangana Assembly budget session. During the meeting, leaders agreed to conduct the session from March 16 to March 31.

According to the proposed schedule, discussions on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address will take place on March 17 and March 18. These discussions will allow members to respond to the Governor’s speech and raise various issues concerning the state.

The state government is expected to present the Telangana budget in the Assembly on March 20. After the budget presentation, detailed discussions on the budget proposals will be held from March 23 to March 26.

The session will later include debates on financial matters including the finance bill which is scheduled to be discussed on March 31 before the session concludes.

The Assembly will also observe holidays on the occasion of Ugadi, Ramzan and Sri Rama Navami during the budget session period.

Several political leaders attended the Business Advisory Committee meeting including Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Sridhar Babu and government whip Beerla Ilaiah. Representatives from different parties such as BRS, BJP, AIMIM and CPI also participated in the discussion.
