Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has assured full support to families affected by the tragic incident involving missing students in the Godavari river. The development has left families and the local community in deep distress.

The incident occurred near Purushottapatnam in Etapaka mandal of Polavaram district, where a group of students entered the river for a bath. Out of seven students, five went missing, prompting immediate concern and rescue efforts.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that three students have been confirmed dead, while search operations are still underway to trace the remaining two. Two other students managed to escape safely from the incident.

The students are reported to be from a private university in Amaravati. Authorities have been instructed to intensify rescue efforts and deploy all necessary resources to locate the missing individuals as quickly as possible.

Chandrababu Naidu personally reviewed the situation with district officials and sought detailed updates on the ongoing operations. He emphasized the need for swift action and continuous monitoring until all students are accounted for.

Expressing deep condolences, the Chief Minister conveyed his sympathy to the families of the deceased. He assured that the government would stand by the affected families and extend all necessary assistance during this difficult time.

The incident has once again highlighted the need for caution around water bodies, especially during group outings, as communities come together to support the grieving families.
