AI+ to Unveil Nova 2 5G Series with Striking Ring Light Design on April 9
AI+ confirms April 9 launch of Nova 2 5G and Nova 2 Ultra 5G in India, highlighting fresh design, multiple colour options, and a unique notification lighting system.
AI+ is preparing to expand its presence in India’s budget smartphone segment with the upcoming launch of two new 5G devices. The company has officially announced that the Nova 2 5G and Nova 2 Ultra 5G will debut on April 9, bringing design upgrades and new features aimed at younger users.
Ahead of the launch, teasers shared online have revealed several design elements. The Nova 2 Ultra 5G is expected to arrive in five colour options including black, blue, green, purple and red. Meanwhile, the Nova 2 5G will be offered in black, blue, green, pink and purple shades. Both models will feature a distinctive red power button, adding a bold visual touch to the devices.
One of the standout additions in the Nova 2 Ultra 5G is a notification ring light integrated into the rear panel. This lighting system is designed to alert users about calls, messages, music playback and other notifications. The feature appears to be inspired by similar implementations seen in other modern smartphones and is expected to enhance user interaction through visual cues.
In terms of design, the Nova 2 Ultra 5G will sport a pill shaped rear camera module along with an LED flash. The standard Nova 2 5G, on the other hand, will feature a square camera layout, also paired with an LED flash. These design differences suggest that AI+ is positioning the Ultra variant as a more premium option within the lineup.
The upcoming Nova 2 series is likely to build on the foundation laid by last year’s models. Previously, AI+ introduced its Nova 5G lineup and Pulse smartphone in July, targeting budget conscious buyers. Those devices came equipped with large displays, dual rear cameras, and 5000mAh batteries, along with support for 18W charging.
Reports suggest that the new smartphones will act as upgraded versions of earlier models, potentially offering improved performance and refined software experience. While full specifications are yet to be officially detailed, expectations are that AI+ will continue focusing on affordability while introducing features that stand out in the competitive entry level 5G segment.
