Snapchat Introduces AI Clips to Transform Photos into Quick Videos Effortlessly
The new AI Clips feature on Snapchat allows Lens+ subscribers to convert any photo into a five-second cinematic video without advanced editing skills, making content creation faster and simpler.

Snapchat has launched a new AI-driven feature called AI Clips, designed to turn photos into short videos within seconds. This update is part of Lens Studio and is currently available exclusively for Lens+ subscribers. The tool allows users to create five-second videos from images without requiring advanced editing knowledge.
Unlike typical AI video tools that need users to input text prompts, AI Clips operates on a pre-set creative framework. The system is already configured by developers, so users only need to select the Lens and the feature automatically generates a video from the chosen photo.
Users can select any photo from their Snap or Camera Roll and instantly convert it into a video with cinematic effects or different visual styles. Once the video is generated, it can be saved directly to the device or shared with friends on Snapchat.
To use AI Clips, subscribers must open the Snapchat app and ensure their Lens+ subscription is active. They can then choose the AI Clip Lens via the Lens carousel or Snapcode. After selecting an image, the AI handles the entire video creation process automatically, delivering quick and polished results.
Snapchat emphasizes that AI Clips simplifies content creation by reducing the effort and time needed to make short videos. With the pre-designed creative setup, users no longer have to provide instructions or experiment with complex editing tools to get professional-looking clips.
This feature reflects Snapchat’s continued focus on integrating AI to make visual storytelling easier, enabling users to produce engaging content in just a few taps while maintaining high visual quality.
