Realme has officially confirmed that its first Selfie Mirror phone, the Realme 16 5G, will launch in India on April 2. The standout feature of this device is its selfie mirror, allowing users to capture professional-quality selfies using the rear camera, a first in the industry.
The phone’s design draws inspiration from iPhone Air models, giving it a sleek and modern look. Realme has also ensured durability, providing the device with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, making it resistant to dust and water.
Under the hood, the Realme 16 5G is powered by the Dimensity 6400 Turbo chipset, paired with a massive 7000mAh battery. The battery supports 60W wired fast charging, and Realme is backing it with a six-year warranty, emphasizing longevity and reliability.
Photography enthusiasts will find the camera setup appealing. The rear features a 50-megapixel primary Sony sensor with OIS, a secondary lens, and an innovative camera bar equipped with the selfie mirror. On the front, users also get a 50-megapixel camera, ensuring high-quality selfies from any angle.
The phone sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with stereo speakers that include a 300 percent volume boost. To keep performance smooth, Realme has incorporated a 6,050mm² Airflow VC cooling system to manage heat efficiently.
Realme 16 5G will run on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The company promises three OS updates and four years of security patches, giving users a smooth and long-lasting software experience.
For buyers in India, the Realme 16 5G will officially go on sale on April 2 at 12 PM. It will be available through Realme’s official online store, Flipkart, and other major retail partners. The starting price is expected to be below 30,000 rupees, making it slightly more affordable than the Realme 16 Pro, which starts at 34,999 rupees.
