OnePlus Launches Ultra Slim Magnetic Phone Cooler Ahead of Nord 6 Debut

OnePlus introduces a compact cooling accessory for gamers while preparing to launch Nord 6 smartphone in India, focusing on performance, display quality, and long lasting battery life features

OnePlus has introduced a new magnetic phone cooler, claiming it to be among the slimmest in its category. The launch comes as the company continues to strengthen its ecosystem of performance focused accessories, particularly targeting mobile gamers who often struggle with overheating during extended sessions.

Unveiled in China during the launch of the OnePlus 15T 5G, the cooling accessory is designed to maintain stable device temperatures even under heavy workloads like gaming and video streaming. With a thickness of just 9.8 mm at its thinnest point and weighing around 68 grams, the device is compact enough to resemble a slim power bank, making it easy to carry and attach.

The cooling system relies on a thermoelectric module combined with a specially designed airflow structure. It features a curved progressive air duct along with a low noise centrifugal fan. This setup allows cool air to flow in from the top while pushing hot air out from the sides, helping maintain a comfortable grip even during long usage periods.

Priced at 179 yuan, roughly around Rs 2400, the cooler is positioned as an affordable accessory for users who demand consistent performance from their smartphones, especially in warmer conditions or outdoor environments.

At the same time, OnePlus is preparing for a major smartphone launch in India. The upcoming OnePlus Nord 6 is scheduled to debut on April 7 at 7 pm and will be available through Amazon and official OnePlus channels. The device is expected to fall in the Rs 35000 to Rs 40000 price segment.

The Nord 6 is shaping up to be a performance driven device, featuring a 1.5K AMOLED Sunburst HDR display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It is said to offer peak brightness up to 3600 nits and support advanced features like high frequency PWM dimming and Aqua Touch technology for improved responsiveness, even with wet fingers.

Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to run on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset paired with an Adreno GPU, promising a noticeable boost in graphics and overall performance. The company claims that the device will handle popular titles like BGMI, Call of Duty Mobile, and Free Fire Max at high frame rates consistently.

Battery life is another major highlight. The Nord 6 is expected to feature a 9000mAh silicon carbon battery, which the company claims can last up to two and a half days under regular use. It also supports 80W fast charging, allowing a full charge in about 70 minutes, along with bypass charging and reverse wired charging features.

With the launch of both a high performance cooling accessory and a powerful new smartphone on the horizon, OnePlus appears to be doubling down on users who demand sustained performance and reliability from their devices.
