Samsung Rolls Out March 2026 Security Update to Over 25 Galaxy Smartphones
Samsung begins rolling out its March 2026 security patch to multiple Galaxy devices, fixing dozens of vulnerabilities and improving protection, with more smartphones expected to receive the update in phases soon.
Samsung has started pushing its March 2026 security update to a wide range of Galaxy smartphones, strengthening device safety and addressing several system vulnerabilities. The rollout, which began in the latter half of the month, initially targeted the flagship Galaxy S25 lineup before expanding rapidly to other models.
The latest patch focuses heavily on security improvements. Reports indicate that the update fixes around 65 vulnerabilities, including nearly 60 issues related to the Android operating system addressed by Google. The remaining fixes are specific to Samsung devices, highlighting the company’s efforts to tighten its own software ecosystem.
A large number of devices across different price segments are now included in the rollout. Premium models such as the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, and S24 series are among the first to receive the update. Older flagships like the Galaxy S23 lineup have also been covered, ensuring continued support for users who are not on the latest devices.
Samsung has not limited the update to its flagship category. Foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip series across multiple generations, are also receiving the patch. This includes newer foldables as well as previous iterations, reflecting a broader push to maintain security consistency across its innovative lineup.
Mid range users are not left out either. Devices from the Galaxy A series, such as the A55, A54, A53, and A36, are part of the update cycle. This move is likely to benefit a large user base, as these models are among the most widely used smartphones in several markets.
The rollout is being carried out in phases, which means not all users will receive the update at the same time. Users are advised to manually check for updates through device settings by navigating to the software update section and selecting download and install if available.
Alongside the security rollout, Samsung is also continuing development on its next software upgrade. The company has been expanding access to its One UI 8.5 beta, bringing it to more devices including recent Galaxy S series models and tablets. More devices are expected to join the beta program in the coming weeks.
With this update, Samsung reinforces its focus on long term software support and user security, ensuring that both new and older Galaxy devices remain protected in an increasingly complex digital environment.
