However, Kohli along with Devdutt Padikkal ensured there was no pressure, building a solid 101 run opening partnership that set the tone for the match. With this innings, Kohli achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first player in IPL history to cross 4000 runs while chasing. No other player has even reached the 3500 mark in such situations, highlighting Kohli’s unmatched dominance in run chases.

He also surpassed Rohit Sharma in another major record by scoring the most runs in chases at a single venue. Kohli’s tally at the Chinnaswamy Stadium now stands ahead, pushing past Rohit’s previous record at the Wankhede Stadium.
