The Andhra Pradesh heatwave has intensified, turning several parts of the state into extremely hot zones as temperatures continue to rise sharply.
Authorities have issued alerts warning that severe hot winds are expected in multiple mandals, particularly across Rayalaseema and coastal districts. The rising temperatures have made daily life difficult for residents, with heat levels becoming increasingly unbearable.
According to official data, temperatures have crossed 44 degrees in some areas, with Kadapa recording one of the highest readings. Several other districts have also reported temperatures above 42 degrees, indicating a widespread heatwave across the state.
Disaster management officials have identified dozens of mandals that are likely to experience severe and moderate heatwave conditions. They have urged people to stay cautious and follow safety guidelines.
Residents have been advised to remain indoors during peak afternoon hours, especially between noon and 4 pm, when the heat is at its highest. If stepping outside is unavoidable, using protective measures such as umbrellas and head coverings is recommended.
Officials have also stressed the importance of staying hydrated by consuming water buttermilk and coconut water regularly to prevent dehydration and heat related illnesses.
With the Andhra Pradesh heatwave showing no immediate signs of easing, authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and emphasize public awareness to reduce health risks during this extreme weather period.
