Fresh Enforcement Directorate activity has once again drawn attention across Telangana after officials launched searches at multiple locations linked to granite and sand business operators. Raids began early in the day and continued across Hyderabad and Karimnagar as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officials are currently conducting searches at eight locations connected to four companies. Sources indicate that teams are inspecting both residential properties and business offices belonging to several prominent traders. The operations are expected to continue for an extended period.
Investigators are examining allegations that large scale GST violations may have been used to divert crores of rupees and accumulate illegal wealth. Authorities suspect that certain granite business operations may have engaged in financial irregularities over a long period.
The investigation gained attention after GST officials had earlier detected suspicious granite transportation activities allegedly linked to fake invoices involving a businessman from Karimnagar. That development reportedly led agencies to take a closer look at business transactions and financial records.
Karimnagar remains one of Telangana’s key granite hubs, with significant export activity from the region. Along with districts such as Warangal and Khammam, the area plays an important role in the granite industry, making the latest action closely watched by both officials and traders.
Reports suggest investigators have also collected important documents and records during the searches as the inquiry continues.
