Amid growing concern over fuel availability in Andhra Pradesh, Y. S. Sharmila launched a sharp attack on N. Chandrababu Naidu, blaming the government for the ongoing petrol and diesel crisis.
Calling the situation alarming, Sharmila said the shortage cannot be resolved through routine reviews and discussions. She urged the government to act immediately and restore supply on a war footing, setting a strict timeline to address the issue.
According to her, a large number of fuel stations across the state have shut down due to supply disruption, creating inconvenience for the public. She described the situation as an emergency, pointing out that people are being forced to stand in long queues under harsh weather conditions.
Sharmila criticised the state leadership, stating that such a crisis is not seen elsewhere in the country and reflects administrative failure. She also questioned the effectiveness of the ruling coalition, arguing that governance gaps have led to the present situation.
Raising further concern, she warned that the fuel shortage could soon impact the prices of essential commodities. She called on the government to act swiftly and prevent the crisis from escalating further, stressing the need for immediate corrective measures.
