  • High Court to reopen on June 8

The Telangana High Court has officially begun its annual summer vacation from Thursday, bringing regular court proceedings to a temporary halt until June 7. Full scale judicial operations will resume from June 8 after the month long break.

As part of the yearly schedule followed during peak summer conditions, the High Court announced special arrangements to ensure that urgent legal matters are not delayed during the vacation period. Vacation benches will continue functioning to hear emergency petitions and time sensitive cases.

According to the schedule released by the court administration, advocates and petitioners can file fresh urgent petitions on May 12, May 19, May 26 and June 2. Hearings related to these petitions will be conducted on May 14, May 21, May 28 and June 4 respectively.

Court officials said the vacation benches were arranged to avoid inconvenience to litigants and ensure immediate judicial intervention in urgent matters even during the holiday period. Only emergency and essential cases will be taken up during these special hearings.

The Registrar office clarified that regular matters, pending case hearings and routine judicial proceedings will remain suspended until the court fully reopens in June. Litigants have been advised to approach the vacation benches only for unavoidable and urgent legal issues.

Every year, the High Court observes summer holidays considering the intense heat conditions and administrative scheduling requirements. Despite the break, limited judicial services remain operational through designated benches to handle critical petitions and emergency legal matters.

With courts expected to reopen on June 8, normal hearings and day to day case proceedings will continue as per the regular judicial calendar.
