Political uncertainty has deepened in Tamil Nadu after the Assembly election results delivered a hung verdict, triggering intense discussions over government formation. Amid the growing suspense, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam leader Vijay is said to have taken a strong political stand against any possible alliance between the DMK and AIADMK.

According to reports, Vijay has instructed party leaders to prepare for a dramatic move if the two major Dravidian parties come together to form the next government. Sources within TVK claim that as many as 107 MLAs belonging to the party could submit resignations collectively if such an arrangement takes shape.

The latest developments have added a fresh layer of excitement to Tamil Nadu politics, where parties are now exploring every possible option to avoid another election. The DMK leadership has reportedly discussed the need for a stable administration and passed internal resolutions aimed at preventing political instability in the state.

Vijay, however, believes public support is strongly in favour of his party and feels TVK deserves the first opportunity to stake claim to form the government. Party insiders say he sees a possible DMK and AIADMK partnership as a betrayal of the public mandate and is prepared to respond aggressively.

The TVK chief had earlier met the Governor twice seeking an opportunity to form the government, but the meetings reportedly did not produce a favourable outcome. Since then, speculation about behind the scenes coordination between the DMK and AIADMK has intensified across political circles.

With political negotiations continuing behind closed doors, the situation has made Tamil Nadu one of the most closely watched states in the country. The possibility of resignations by a large number of MLAs has further increased pressure on all major parties involved in the government formation process.
