Andhra Pradesh Government Announces Major IAS Officers Transfers

The Andhra Pradesh government issued fresh transfer orders for senior IAS officers, assigning additional responsibilities to key departments as part of efforts to strengthen administrative functioning statewide.

The Andhra Pradesh government has carried out a fresh reshuffle of senior IAS officers as part of its ongoing administrative restructuring. The latest orders include transfers as well as additional responsibilities for several top officials handling important departments in the state.

According to the government order issued by Chief Secretary G Sai Prasad under GO Number 918, the changes will come into immediate effect. Officials said the reshuffle is aimed at improving coordination and speeding up governance across departments.

Senior IAS officer Shashi Bhushan Kumar, who is currently serving as Special Chief Secretary of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, has now been given responsibility for the Water Resources Department as well.

At the same time, the government relieved Chief Secretary Sai Prasad from the full additional charge of the Water Resources Department. Meanwhile, Kantilal Dande, who is serving as Principal Secretary for Environment and Forests, has been assigned full additional charge of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department.

The state government has recently been focusing on strengthening administrative efficiency by reallocating responsibilities among senior officials. The latest transfers are being viewed as part of a broader effort to ensure faster implementation of government policies and smoother functioning of key departments across Andhra Pradesh.
