Motorola Launches Premium Razr Fold With Powerful Cameras and Massive Battery in India

Motorola has introduced its new Razr Fold smartphone in India with flagship performance, advanced AI camera features, long battery backup, and flexible EMI plans for premium foldable buyers.

Motorola has officially entered the premium book style foldable smartphone segment in India with the launch of the new Razr Fold. The company is positioning the device as a direct competitor to high end foldable phones already available in the market. Packed with flagship hardware, advanced AI tools, and a large foldable display, the smartphone is designed for users looking for both style and performance in one device.

One of the biggest talking points of the Razr Fold is its large 6000mAh battery, which is uncommon in most foldable smartphones. Motorola claims the device can deliver up to 43 hours of battery backup under regular usage conditions. The phone also supports 80W fast charging along with 50W wireless charging and reverse charging support, allowing users to charge other compatible devices when needed.

The smartphone features a large 8.1 inch 2K LTPO AMOLED foldable display with support for a high refresh rate for smoother visuals and animations. On the outside, the device includes a 6.6 inch AMOLED cover screen that allows users to answer calls, check notifications, read messages, and access the camera without unfolding the phone. Motorola says the outer display is designed to offer a premium user experience with smooth touch response and vibrant colors.

Photography is another major focus area for the Razr Fold. The device comes with a triple rear camera setup, and all three sensors feature 50 megapixel lenses. The primary camera supports optical image stabilization for sharper photos and more stable video recording. Users also get an ultra wide lens for landscape shots and group photos, while the telephoto sensor allows zoom photography without major quality loss.

Motorola has added several AI powered camera tools that automatically improve color balance, skin tones, lighting, and image details. The company says these features are intended to deliver DSLR like photography results in different lighting conditions. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 20 megapixel external front camera and a 32 megapixel internal camera. Additional camera features include 8K video recording, night photography mode, portrait video support, and AI stabilization technology.

Under the hood, the Razr Fold is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, one of the latest flagship chipsets available for premium smartphones. The processor is built to handle multitasking, AI tasks, gaming, and heavy applications with ease. The smartphone offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Motorola has also added an advanced cooling system to maintain stable performance during long gaming or video editing sessions.

The company has focused heavily on durability and premium design as well. The Razr Fold comes with a strong metal frame and high quality finishing materials. Motorola has also provided IP69 certification, offering resistance against dust and light water exposure. The premium back panel design gives the phone a stylish and modern appearance aimed at luxury smartphone buyers.

Motorola is also promising long term software support with the device. The Razr Fold runs on Android 16 and the company says users will receive Android and security updates for up to seven years. This could make the smartphone appealing for buyers planning to keep their device for a longer period.

The phone has been launched in multiple variants in India. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 149999, while the higher 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant costs Rs 159999. Motorola has also introduced a special FIFA Edition priced at Rs 169999. Buyers can additionally benefit from exchange offers and bank discounts, which may reduce the effective price significantly.

To make the premium foldable phone more accessible, Motorola is offering no cost EMI options for up to 18 months. According to the company, the base variant can be purchased at an approximate monthly EMI of Rs 5556, while the higher storage variant starts at around Rs 6111 per month. The FIFA Edition can be bought at an estimated EMI of Rs 6667 monthly on select bank cards.

Industry experts believe the Razr Fold reflects Motorola’s aggressive push into the premium smartphone category. With powerful hardware, AI powered camera features, long battery life, and flexible payment plans, the company is aiming to attract users looking for a high performance foldable smartphone experience in India.
