Superstar Rajinikanth has finally reacted to the political controversy surrounding Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay after days of intense speculation across social media platforms. Addressing the media, Rajinikanth firmly denied allegations that he was unhappy with Vijay’s rise in politics or trying to prevent him from becoming Chief Minister.

The veteran actor explained that he chose to speak publicly because remaining silent would only strengthen the rumors. He also rejected claims linking his recent meeting with M K Stalin to political strategy. Rajinikanth clarified that Stalin has been his close friend for nearly forty years and the meeting was purely personal.

Responding to criticism over not congratulating Vijay immediately after the election results, Rajinikanth said he had already posted his wishes on social media soon after the victory announcement. He also spoke about a viral airport video that sparked debate online. According to him, a passerby unexpectedly informed him about Vijay’s success and he did not realize the cameras were recording the moment as an official media interaction.

Rajinikanth strongly denied accusations of jealousy and said he stepped away from politics long ago, leaving no reason for political rivalry. He further pointed out that comparing him and Vijay politically or professionally was unnecessary because of the significant age gap between them.

Adding humor to the discussion, Rajinikanth joked that he might have felt jealous only if actor and politician Kamal Haasan had become Chief Minister. His comment quickly gained attention online and lightened the political atmosphere surrounding the controversy.

At the same time, Rajinikanth openly appreciated Vijay’s achievement and described the victory as both surprising and impressive. He said winning against two major political forces independently at the age of 52 was extraordinary and unlike the political journeys of legendary leaders such as M G Ramachandran and N T Rama Rao.

He also observed that the people of Tamil Nadu voted with strong hopes for change and warned that public expectations would now place tremendous responsibility on Vijay’s government. Rajinikanth concluded by expressing confidence that Vijay would work sincerely for the welfare of the people and successfully lead the state forward.
