Redmi Turbo 5 Set for India Launch With Massive Battery and 100W Fast Charging

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in India with flagship level features including a large battery, powerful chipset, fast charging support, and premium display technology soon.

Xiaomi is getting ready to introduce the Redmi Turbo 5 in the Indian smartphone market, and the device is already attracting attention because of its high end specifications and performance focused features. The company has officially confirmed that the smartphone will arrive in India soon, making it the first model from the Redmi Turbo series to enter the country.

According to recent leaks and industry reports, the Indian version of the Redmi Turbo 5 is expected to carry specifications similar to the model launched earlier in China. Tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that the smartphone may debut in India in early June and could launch alongside a few additional Xiaomi products.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to focus heavily on performance and battery life. Reports suggest the Redmi Turbo 5 could feature a large 7560mAh battery, which may become one of the biggest highlights of the device. Xiaomi is also expected to include support for 100W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge the phone much more quickly despite the large battery capacity.

The phone is likely to appeal to gamers, multitaskers, and users who spend long hours on their devices. It is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor paired with HyperOS 3 based on Android 16. This combination could deliver smooth performance for gaming, streaming, and heavy app usage.

Display quality is another area where the Redmi Turbo 5 may stand out. Reports suggest the smartphone will feature a 6.59 inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This setup is expected to offer vibrant colors, smoother scrolling, and a better viewing experience for videos and gaming. The Chinese variant also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 Plus, and high brightness levels, features that could make their way to the Indian model as well.

Camera performance is also expected to be a major attraction. Leaks indicate the Indian version may include a 50 megapixel primary rear camera along with a 20 megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The Chinese model additionally offers an ultra wide camera, which may also appear in the Indian edition.

Xiaomi India has already confirmed that the Redmi Turbo 5 will be available through Amazon after launch. A dedicated microsite for the smartphone has reportedly gone live, hinting at an official unveiling in the near future. Promotional images show the phone in a black finish with a flat rear panel design and dual rear camera setup positioned at the top left corner.

The smartphone is also expected to arrive with strong durability features. The Chinese variant comes with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for rough usage conditions. If Xiaomi brings the same protection standards to the Indian model, it could become one of the toughest phones in its segment.

In China, the Redmi Turbo 5 was launched at a starting price of 2299 Yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. This roughly converts to around Rs 30000, although the Indian pricing may differ depending on market strategy and competition.

With a premium display, large battery, flagship level charging speeds, and powerful hardware, the Redmi Turbo 5 is shaping up to be one of Xiaomi’s most ambitious launches in the Indian market this year. The device is expected to compete strongly in the upper mid range smartphone segment where buyers are increasingly looking for flagship like experiences without paying premium flagship prices.
