Petrol and Diesel Prices Rise Again Across Major Cities

Fuel prices have increased once again across the country as rising crude oil costs and global tensions continue to put pressure on oil companies and consumers.

Consumers across the country are facing another increase in fuel expenses as oil companies once again revised petrol and diesel prices upward. The latest increase comes amid continued pressure from rising international crude oil prices and geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

The revised rates came into effect from 6 in the morning, adding to concerns over the frequent rise in fuel costs. This marks the third increase in fuel prices this month, with changes taking place within short intervals. Industry observers point out that global market conditions have played a major role in influencing domestic fuel rates.

Under the latest revision, petrol prices increased by 87 paise per litre while diesel prices went up by 91 paise per litre. The repeated revisions are expected to impact transportation costs and household spending.

Following the increase, petrol prices in Delhi reached Rs 99.51 per litre while Kolkata recorded Rs 110.64. In Mumbai, petrol is now priced at Rs 108.49 and in Chennai the rate stands at Rs 105.31 per litre.

Diesel prices also witnessed a fresh jump across major cities. Delhi recorded Rs 92.49 per litre while Kolkata reached Rs 97.02. Mumbai diesel prices touched Rs 95.02 and Chennai recorded Rs 96.98 per litre.

In Hyderabad, the latest hike pushed petrol prices to Rs 112.84 per litre while diesel prices climbed to Rs 100.94. With fuel rates moving upward repeatedly, consumers are closely watching for further revisions in the coming days.
