Passengers travelling on Telangana buses are expected to experience a stronger sense of security as TGSRTC has rolled out a new safety focused initiative called Bus Lo Bharosa. The programme has been designed to improve protection measures inside buses with a special focus on women passengers and safer public travel.

The transport corporation aims to reduce incidents such as harassment, eve teasing, thefts and inappropriate behaviour by introducing a technology driven monitoring system. Officials believe the move will help create a more secure travel environment while also increasing public confidence in RTC services.

As part of the first phase, TGSRTC has launched the pilot project in 175 buses operating under the Adilabad region. These buses have been equipped with modern high quality CCTV cameras capable of continuously recording activity inside the vehicle.

The surveillance coverage extends from the entrance footboard area to the last seat of the bus, ensuring that every section remains under observation. The system has been developed to provide clear visual monitoring throughout the journey.

The live camera feed from these buses is directly connected to an RTC control room where dedicated teams monitor activity on a regular basis. In case of any emergency situation or suspicious incident, the control centre can immediately alert drivers, conductors and local police authorities for quick response.

Officials say the initiative is not only about surveillance but also about creating trust among passengers. The corporation expects Bus Lo Bharosa to make daily commuting safer and encourage more people to rely on public transportation services.
