The annual Hajj pilgrimage has officially begun in Mecca, drawing huge crowds of Muslims from around the world to one of Islam’s most sacred religious gatherings. The holy city has come alive with spiritual energy as pilgrims arrive to perform important rituals and prayers.
On the opening day of the pilgrimage, large crowds were seen around the Grand Mosque where thousands of worshippers gathered near the Kaaba. Pilgrims took part in prayers and performed the traditional rituals with devotion, creating an atmosphere filled with faith and emotion.
Authorities revealed that around fifteen lakh international pilgrims have already reached Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj journey. To handle the large number of visitors, extensive arrangements have been made including accommodation facilities, transport services and medical support systems.
Officials have also increased security measures across major locations to ensure smooth movement and safety of pilgrims. Special teams have been deployed to monitor different areas and help visitors avoid difficulties during the pilgrimage period. Temporary medical centers have also been set up to provide healthcare assistance whenever needed.
Saudi Arabia has also introduced certain guidelines for this year’s pilgrimage. Officials announced restrictions related to animal sacrifice practices during the festival period. Authorities clarified that sheep should be used for sacrifice rituals while the slaughter of cows and camels during this period has been prohibited.
The administration warned that all pilgrims must follow the rules carefully and stated that strict action could be taken against those violating regulations. The government said every effort is being made to ensure the pilgrimage continues in a peaceful and organized manner.
