BSNL Launches Budget Friendly Rs 51 Plan With Daily 2GB Data and Unlimited Calls
BSNL has introduced a limited period prepaid recharge offering unlimited calling, 2GB daily data, free SMS benefits and 28 days validity for users looking for affordable mobile connectivity nationwide.
State owned telecom company BSNL has rolled out an affordable prepaid recharge plan aimed at attracting new customers across the country. The newly introduced Smart Start Plan is priced at just Rs 51 and comes with several benefits that are usually seen in higher priced recharge packs.
The telecom operator says the offer is specially designed for people planning to switch networks or buy a new mobile connection without spending much money. With rising recharge prices in the telecom market, the low cost plan has quickly gained attention among budget conscious users.
Under the new Smart Start Plan, customers will receive 28 days of validity along with unlimited voice calling benefits across all networks in India. Apart from free calling, the recharge also includes 2GB of high speed data every day. Over the complete validity period, users can access up to 56GB of data.
BSNL is also providing 100 SMS per day as part of the package. Many users on social media have started describing the plan as one of the most value for money prepaid offers currently available in the market because of the combination of daily data, unlimited calls and SMS benefits at such a low price.
The company clarified that the recharge offer is only available for new customers. Existing BSNL subscribers will not be eligible for the plan. The telecom operator is mainly targeting users who want to port their number from another network or those planning to activate a fresh BSNL SIM connection.
To make the process easier, BSNL has announced that eligible customers can collect a SIM card free of cost from nearby BSNL Customer Service Centres and authorised retail stores. After activating the SIM, users need to recharge with the Rs 51 Smart Start Plan to unlock the benefits.
According to the company, the promotional offer is available for a limited duration. BSNL stated that the recharge pack will remain active from May 22, 2026 to June 30, 2026. With this move, the telecom company is trying to strengthen its customer base and compete aggressively in the affordable prepaid segment.
Industry observers believe such low cost recharge plans may appeal strongly to students, secondary SIM users and customers living in areas where affordable connectivity remains a major concern.
