After days of intense heat, rising temperatures, and uncomfortable weather conditions across the Telugu states, residents finally experienced relief as heavy rainfall transformed the atmosphere overnight. The sudden change brought cooler weather and a welcome break from scorching summer conditions.

Several parts of Hyderabad witnessed heavy rain after midnight, with thunder and lightning adding to the intensity of the weather. Areas across the city, especially within the IT corridor including Gachibowli, Madhapur, Rayadurg, Miyapur, Chandanagar, Lingampally, and surrounding localities, recorded strong rainfall activity.

The showers quickly changed the condition of roads in many areas as water accumulated on streets. Since the rain occurred during late night hours, major traffic disruptions were largely avoided. However, the impact was still felt in several places as falling trees caused interruptions in electricity supply.

The rainfall was not limited to Hyderabad alone. Multiple districts across Telangana also received significant rainfall. Regions in the former Medak, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Nalgonda, and Mahabubnagar districts reported widespread showers and changing weather conditions.

Among the recorded figures, Mustyal in Siddipet district received the highest rainfall at 12.3 centimeters. Bhoothpur in Mahabubnagar district recorded 11 centimeters, while Thimmajipet in Nagarkurnool district received 8.4 centimeters of rainfall.

Though the cooler weather brought relief to many residents, the sudden rain also created fresh concerns for farmers. Grain that had been spread for drying at procurement centers in areas including Ainavolu and Sangareddy was soaked by rainwater, leading to worries over possible crop losses.
