OnePlus 16 Leak Hints at Ultra Smooth Display and Powerful 200MP Camera
OnePlus 16 leaks reveal an ultra smooth high refresh rate display, massive battery, advanced AI features, flagship cameras, and premium hardware upgrades aimed at performance focused smartphone users worldwide.

OnePlus appears to be preparing its next flagship smartphone with a strong focus on display technology, camera performance, and artificial intelligence features. Fresh leaks surrounding the upcoming OnePlus 16 have started gaining attention online, with reports suggesting that the device could deliver one of the smoothest smartphone experiences seen in the premium segment so far.
According to recent tipster reports, the upcoming phone may feature an advanced high refresh rate display that could go beyond what most flagship devices currently offer. While earlier rumors hinted at a possible 240Hz panel, newer leaks now suggest that the company is testing a 185Hz refresh rate display for the device. Even though the specifications are still said to be under internal validation, the focus on fluid animations and smoother touch response is becoming increasingly clear.
The smartphone is also expected to feature ultra narrow bezels around the screen, giving it a more immersive and premium appearance. Reports indicate that OnePlus may use a 6.78 inch LTPO OLED panel supplied by BOE. The display could support advanced color reproduction technology along with a custom touch control system designed to improve responsiveness during gaming and multimedia usage.
Camera upgrades are likely to be one of the biggest highlights of the OnePlus 16. Leaks suggest that the device may include a powerful 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera capable of 3x optical zoom. Alongside this sensor, the rear camera setup could include a 50 megapixel primary sensor and another 50 megapixel ultra wide lens. Industry observers believe OnePlus is trying to strengthen its position in flagship smartphone photography with these upgrades.
The company is also expected to introduce a dedicated AI button on the device. Reports claim the smartphone may run OxygenOS 17 based on Android 16, bringing deeper AI integration across system functions and photography tools. OnePlus is reportedly focusing heavily on AI driven user experiences in its next generation flagship lineup.
Performance specifications also appear impressive on paper. The OnePlus 16 could be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset paired with LPDDR6 RAM technology. Another major talking point is the rumored 9000mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest batteries ever seen in a premium flagship smartphone. While charging details remain unclear, industry expectations suggest support for fast wired and wireless charging similar to the previous generation.
Several additional premium features are also being discussed in leaks. These include an ultrasonic in display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, advanced vibration feedback hardware, and IP68 as well as IP69 certification for dust and water resistance. Such additions indicate that OnePlus may position the phone as a complete high end flagship package.
There is still uncertainty regarding the launch strategy for the Indian market. Reports in recent months have suggested internal restructuring and management changes within the company’s India operations. Speculation has even emerged that the brand could focus more on mid range devices in the country. Because of this, some industry watchers believe the OnePlus 16 may not launch in India immediately.
If the leaks turn out to be accurate, the OnePlus 16 could arrive with a higher starting price than its predecessor. Market insiders estimate that the smartphone may debut at around Rs 75999 for the base configuration. Official confirmation from OnePlus, however, is still awaited.
