Painful piles cases are rising due to poor eating habits and inactive lifestyles. Experts warn that processed foods dehydration and lack of fiber can seriously worsen constipation and hemorrhoids problems.

Piles, also known as hemorrhoids, have quietly become one of the most uncomfortable health problems affecting people of all age groups. What begins as mild constipation often turns into severe pain, burning sensation, bleeding during bowel movements and difficulty sitting comfortably. Doctors say that unhealthy food habits and poor daily routines are among the biggest reasons behind the growing number of piles cases.

Many people ignore the early warning signs and continue consuming foods that put extra pressure on the digestive system. Medical experts explain that piles usually develop when constant strain during bowel movements affects the blood vessels around the rectal area. Constipation plays a major role in this condition and certain foods can make the situation much worse.

One of the biggest culprits is refined flour based food. Items such as white bread, burgers, pizza, biscuits, cakes and bakery snacks contain very little fiber. These foods slow digestion and make stools hard and dry. As a result, passing stool becomes painful and increases pressure on the rectal veins.

Spicy and oily foods can also become a major problem for people already suffering from piles. Heavy masala dishes, pickles, fast food and deep fried snacks may irritate the digestive tract and trigger burning sensation during bowel movements. Doctors are also warning against excessive consumption of junk food and fried items such as chips, samosas and french fries. People already dealing with piles are often advised to reduce red meat intake to avoid further irritation.

Tea, coffee and alcohol can also quietly worsen the condition. Excess caffeine and alcohol may dehydrate the body, reducing moisture in the intestines. This causes stools to become hard and dry, making bowel movements painful. Doctors recommend increasing water intake if someone regularly consumes caffeinated drinks.

Health specialists say prevention is possible with a few simple lifestyle changes. Adding more fiber rich foods such as fruits, vegetables, leafy greens and whole grains can improve digestion naturally. Drinking enough water throughout the day helps soften stool and reduces strain during bowel movements.

Regular movement is equally important. Sitting continuously for long hours slows down intestinal activity and increases digestive discomfort. Experts advise walking frequently, exercising daily and avoiding prolonged sitting whenever possible.

Doctors believe that piles should not be ignored as a minor issue. In many cases, improving food habits and maintaining proper hydration can provide significant relief before the condition becomes severe. Small changes in daily routine can make a major difference in digestive health and overall comfort.
