  • Tirumala darshan waiting time reaches 18 hours.

Tirumala is witnessing a significant surge in pilgrim arrivals, with thousands of devotees flocking to the hill shrine for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. As the summer holiday season nears its end, the temple town has experienced a sharp increase in visitor numbers from Telugu states and several other parts of the country.

According to temple authorities, as of Sunday morning, the Vaikuntham Queue Complex was completely filled, with waiting lines extending beyond the designated areas. Officials have made additional arrangements to manage the growing crowd and ensure smooth movement of devotees.

The high turnout has led to longer waiting periods for darshan. Pilgrims opting for Sarva Darshan are currently waiting between 15 and 18 hours, while those holding Rs 300 Special Entry Darshan tickets are completing the process within approximately 3 to 5 hours.

Temple records show that 92010 devotees had darshan on Saturday alone. Among them, 52346 pilgrims offered their hair as part of their religious vows at the sacred shrine.

The temple administration also reported strong devotional activity through offerings and prasadam distribution. The Srivari Hundi received donations totaling Rs 3.76 crore, while around 4.43 lakh laddus were distributed to devotees.

TTD has appealed to visitors to cooperate with authorities while waiting in queues and follow crowd management guidelines. With temperatures remaining high, officials have advised devotees, especially senior citizens and children, to take necessary precautions during their visit.
