Isha Foundation issues legal notice to BSNL

Bengaluru, Aug: Isha Foundation has issued a legal notice to telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to desist from making any defamatory remarks and their withdrawal- al failing which it reserves its rights to initiate the necessary civil and criminal proceedings. The notice has been sent in the context of the Madras High Court order regarding fresh proceedings into erroneous bills of Rs 2.5 crore, which BSNL invoiced to Isha Foundation for the months of December 2018 and January 2019.

Setting aside a previous judgment in favor of Isha, the Court held that expert further proceedings. opinion in the matter is imperative in this case, which was missing in the previous proceedings. Subsequent to Court’s order, the matter awaits further proceedings “However, the media has been reporting that the senior Counsel representing BSNL has made certain remarks like, “Man can speak lies, but the machine will not” in the court proceedings. But the truth of the matter is that no such statements were made.
