Residents across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are experiencing sharply contrasting weather conditions, with scorching temperatures affecting several districts while thunderstorms and moderate rainfall are reported in others. Weather officials have warned that these mixed conditions are likely to continue for the next three days.

In Andhra Pradesh, heatwave conditions remain a major concern. Temperatures in many districts are hovering between 43 and 46 degrees Celsius, creating uncomfortable conditions due to rising humidity levels. The combination of intense heat and moisture in the air has increased discomfort, particularly during afternoon hours.

The State Disaster Management Authority has indicated that severe heatwave conditions may persist for another two days. However, a slight drop in temperatures is expected from Sunday onward. Authorities have forecast severe heatwave conditions in multiple mandals, while several other areas are likely to experience moderate heatwave conditions.

Districts including Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, YSR Kadapa, Chittoor, Tirupati and others are expected to record temperatures between 40 and 42 degrees Celsius. In parts of Kakinada, Eluru, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu and several coastal districts, temperatures could reach 43 to 44 degrees Celsius.

At the same time, weather systems developing over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and along the Tamil Nadu coast are expected to bring rainfall to parts of Andhra Pradesh. Light to moderate showers accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning are likely in Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya and Chittoor districts. Isolated rainfall is also possible in several other regions.

Officials have urged people to remain cautious during thunderstorms and avoid standing under trees, electric poles or large hoardings during lightning activity. Farmers, field workers and cattle herders have been advised to move to safe locations as soon as weather conditions begin to deteriorate.

Authorities are also recommending that people avoid unnecessary travel between 11 am and 4 pm. Carrying drinking water and consuming fluids such as buttermilk, coconut water and lemon juice has been advised to prevent dehydration during extreme heat conditions.

Special precautions have been suggested for elderly citizens, pregnant women, young children and individuals suffering from heart ailments, blood pressure issues or diabetes, as they are more vulnerable to heat related health problems.

Meanwhile, Telangana is also expected to witness a mix of hot weather and unseasonal rainfall. According to the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre, several districts may experience thunderstorms, lightning and strong gusty winds in the coming days. Officials have urged residents to stay alert and follow weather advisories to ensure their safety.
