The Union government has assured that Telangana farmers will not face any shortage of fertilisers during the current agricultural season. Union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister JP Nadda made this clear in Parliament, stating that the Centre is closely monitoring supply and distribution to meet farmers’ needs without disruption.

Responding to questions raised in the Lok Sabha, the minister said the Telangana government informed the Centre that fertilisers are being distributed through a token based system. To further simplify access and prevent inconvenience to farmers, the Centre has introduced a urea booking app that allows advance booking of fertilisers directly from home, reducing dependency on physical visits and long queues.

JP Nadda also highlighted the scale of government support, revealing that fertiliser subsidies worth Rs 1.77 lakh crore were provided by the Centre during the 2024 to 25 financial year. He stressed that this financial backing ensures affordability for farmers while maintaining uninterrupted supply across states.

In a separate reply, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal informed the House that Telangana High Court currently has seven women judges out of a total strength of 28, accounting for 25 percent representation. This figure stands significantly higher than the national average of 14.25 percent, reflecting better gender representation in the judiciary within the state.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister Prataprao Jadhav disclosed that Telangana reported 4,76,428 cancer cases over the last decade from 2014 to 2024. He also pointed out staffing gaps at the Bibinagar AIIMS, where 51 teaching posts remain vacant. Out of 183 sanctioned positions, 132 are currently filled, indicating that around 28 percent of posts are yet to be occupied.

The discussions in Parliament highlighted key aspects of agriculture support, judicial representation, and healthcare infrastructure in Telangana, underlining both progress and areas that require focused attention in the coming years.
