A controversy surrounding the yet to be released book by former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has intensified, prompting an official clarification from Penguin Random House India. The publishing house stated that the book titled Four Stars of Destiny has not been published in any format so far.
The issue gained attention after copies of the book were reportedly circulated illegally, leading to heated exchanges between ruling and opposition members in Parliament. In response to the growing debate, the publisher made it clear that neither print nor digital nor PDF versions have been made available to the public.
Penguin Random House India emphasized that it holds exclusive publishing rights to the book. The company warned that any unauthorized distribution or circulation of copies would amount to a violation under the Copyright Act and would invite strict legal action. It also said that illegally shared copies would be seized.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the unauthorized circulation of the book. The matter is being examined to identify those responsible for sharing the copies.
Amid the controversy, General Naravane reacted by sharing the publisher’s statement on his social media handle, adding a brief remark about the current situation of his book. His response has further drawn public attention to the ongoing dispute.
