The Board of Control for Cricket in India has officially announced the India Women T20 World Cup 2026 squad, naming a 15 member team that combines experience with emerging talent. The announcement has generated strong expectations as the team prepares for the tournament beginning on June 12.

Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the side, bringing her leadership experience into another major global event. Smriti Mandhana has been appointed as vice captain, adding stability to the batting unit with her consistent performances at the top order.

The squad includes aggressive opener Shafali Verma, dependable middle order batter Jemimah Rodrigues, and all rounder Bharati Fulmali, who adds depth to both batting and bowling. Deepti Sharma continues to be a key all rounder, while wicketkeeper batter Richa Ghosh is expected to play a crucial role in finishing innings.

Among the notable selections, young fast bowler Nandini Sharma has earned her maiden call up after impressive performances in the Women Premier League. Spinner Radha Yadav returns to strengthen the spin department, while Yastika Bhatia makes a comeback after recovering from injury, adding experience behind the stumps.

The bowling attack is further supported by Arundhati Reddy and Renuka Singh Thakur, both known for their pace and control. Young talent Kranti Goud and Shreyanka Patil have also been included, giving the squad additional flexibility in the bowling lineup. Sree Charani has secured her place as well, representing the growing pool of talent from regional circuits.
