Royal Challengers Bengaluru scripted a memorable finish to the WPL 2026 season by lifting their second title after a confident chase against Delhi Capitals in the final. The night belonged to RCB as composure and firepower came together when it mattered most.
Chasing a stiff target of 203, Royal Challengers Bengaluru showed no signs of pressure. Smriti Mandhana set the tone with a commanding innings, finding boundaries at will and keeping the required rate under control from the start.
Mandhana’s 87 off just 41 deliveries was the backbone of the chase. She found an ideal partner in Georgia Voll, whose fluent 79 off 54 balls ensured Delhi never regained momentum. The pair stitched together a match defining partnership that effectively took the game away from Delhi.
Despite an early breakthrough by Chinelle Henry, who dismissed Grace Harris in the second over, RCB stayed calm. The chase was wrapped up in 19.4 overs as Radha Yadav struck consecutive boundaries to seal the win, finishing at 204 for four.
Earlier in the match, Delhi Capitals posted a strong 203 for four after a late surge. Chinelle Henry played a crucial cameo, remaining unbeaten on 35 off 15 balls, while Laura Wolvaardt contributed a brisk 44 before being run out on the final delivery.
Jemimah Rodrigues added stability with a half century, while Lizelle Lee and Shafali Varma provided quick starts. However, RCB’s bowlers managed to contain the damage just enough to keep the target within reach.
With this victory, RCB join an elite group of multiple time champions, underlining their growth as a dominant force in the league. For Delhi, the wait for a maiden title continues, while RCB celebrate a season that ended in style and authority.
