A major accident was narrowly avoided near Nandigama in Andhra Pradesh after a private travels bus suddenly caught fire while heading towards Hyderabad. The bus was travelling from Vijayawada with 39 passengers on board when the incident occurred, triggering brief panic but ending without injuries.
According to initial information, smoke was first noticed rising from the rear engine compartment as the bus approached the Kesara toll gate in Kanchikacherla mandal. Sensing the danger immediately, the driver brought the vehicle to a halt and urged passengers to get down without delay.
Thanks to the swift response, all passengers managed to exit the bus safely before flames spread rapidly. Within minutes, the fire engulfed the entire vehicle, leaving it completely gutted.
Fire services and police teams rushed to the spot and managed to control the blaze. Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as emergency operations were carried out. Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries were reported, crediting the driver’s presence of mind for preventing a potential tragedy.
