Authorities have issued a heatwave winds alert for several parts of Andhra Pradesh with North Andhra and Rayalaseema expected to face intense weather conditions today. The State Disaster Management Agency has warned that strong hot winds along with rising temperatures may create severe discomfort in these regions.

According to officials maximum temperatures are likely to surge significantly on Friday increasing the impact of heatwave conditions. Several mandals in Vizianagaram and Parvathipuram Manyam districts along with parts of Polavaram and Eluru regions are expected to experience strong and potentially hazardous hot winds.

The warning specifically covers areas such as Badangi Bobbili Terlam Vangara Balijipeta Garugubilli Seethampeta and Kukunooru among others where conditions may turn extreme during the day. Residents in these regions have been urged to stay cautious and limit outdoor activities.

At the same time weather patterns influenced by a trough extending from Telangana Rayalaseema and interior Tamil Nadu up to the Gulf of Mannar may bring scattered rainfall in some districts. Visakhapatnam Anakapalli Kakinada Konaseema Annamayya and Chittoor districts could witness light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms in isolated areas.

Officials have advised people especially women children and elderly individuals to take necessary precautions against dehydration and heat related illnesses. Citizens are encouraged to drink sufficient water and include fluids such as ORS lemon water buttermilk coconut water and lassi in their daily intake.

The combination of extreme heat in some regions and scattered rainfall in others highlights the changing weather conditions across the state. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and have urged the public to remain alert and follow safety guidelines to avoid health risks.
