CM Vijay Announces Tamil Nadu Cabinet and Allocates Key Portfolios
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay assigned cabinet portfolios with major departments including Home and Police retained by him while senior leaders received finance, industries and health ministries.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay officially announced portfolio allocations for his newly formed cabinet after taking charge of the state government.
Several important departments including Home, Police and Women and Child Welfare have been retained directly under the Chief Minister’s control. The move is being seen as Vijay’s attempt to closely monitor key administrative and welfare sectors during the early phase of his government.
According to the portfolio list, Vijay will also oversee Public Administration, District Revenue Services, Special Programme Implementation, Youth Welfare, Municipal Administration and Water Supply departments.
Senior leader Sengottaiyan, who recently joined TVK from AIADMK, has been given the crucial Finance portfolio. Political observers consider this one of the most significant appointments in the new cabinet.
Young leader S Keerthana emerged as another major talking point after being entrusted with the Industries department along with Investment Promotion responsibilities. Her appointment to such an important economic portfolio has attracted wide attention in Tamil Nadu political circles.
N Anand has taken charge as Minister for Rural Development and Water Resources. His responsibilities include panchayat administration, poverty alleviation programmes and irrigation related projects.
Another prominent TVK leader, Aadhav Arjuna, was assigned the Public Works and Sports Development departments. He will also supervise roads, buildings and minor port related works.
Dr KG Aran Raj received the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare departments, while P Venkataramanan was allocated Food and Civil Supplies.
R Nirmal Kumar will oversee Energy Resources, Electricity, Courts, Prisons and Anti Corruption departments as part of the cabinet structure announced by the Chief Minister.
Rajmohan has been placed in charge of School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Public Relations. He will additionally handle the Cinematography department.
Dr TK Prabhu was allocated the Natural Resources ministry, including responsibilities related to mines and mineral sectors.
