CM Cup 2026 Set for February 20 as Revanth Reddy Receives Inauguration Invite

Hyderabad is gearing up for the launch of CM Cup 2026 with the opening ceremony scheduled on February 20 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has been formally invited to inaugurate the flagship sports event that aims to spotlight grassroots talent across the state.

The invitation was jointly extended by Youth Services and Sports Minister Vakiti Srihari, State Sports Authority Chairman Shivasena Reddy, and Sports Authority Managing Director Dr Sonibala Devi.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the second edition of the CM Cup has been strengthened with modern technology and a dedicated information system. He highlighted that the initiative aligns with the government’s vision to promote rural sports and channel youth energy into positive and competitive activities.

According to officials, nearly four point six lakh sportspersons registered for the tournament, out of which twenty two thousand players have qualified for the state level competitions. Matches will be held across forty four sporting disciplines in twelve districts, reflecting the scale of participation.

To support athletes with real time updates, the Sports Authority introduced the Nilamani mobile application integrated with an AI powered call centre, offering round the clock assistance to participants. Authorities expressed confidence that CM Cup 2026 will nurture future champions and strengthen Telangana’s sporting ecosystem.
