Revanth Reddy Announces Financial Relief for Madina Bus Accident Victims

The Telangana government has stepped forward to support families affected by the tragic Madina bus accident, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assuring that the state stands firmly with the victims during this difficult time.
Addressing the affected families at a programme held at the Secretariat on Saturday, the Chief Minister offered reassurance and handed over financial assistance. He told the families not to worry, stating clearly that the government belongs to the people and will stand by them in times of distress.
Revanth Reddy recalled that immediately after learning about the accident, a representative team led by Minister Azharuddin was sent to Madina to assist the victims. He noted that while governments generally do not offer compensation for accidents that occur abroad, the Telangana government chose a humanitarian approach in this case.
As part of the relief measures, the state provided financial assistance of Rs five lakh each to the families of 44 deceased victims. Families of those who sustained serious injuries received Rs three lakh each. The assistance was distributed through cheques during the programme.
Several senior leaders attended the event, including Minority Welfare Minister Azharuddin, advisors Vem Narender Reddy and Shabbir Ali, and Nampally MLA Majid Hussain. The government reiterated its commitment to supporting the affected families and ensuring they are not left alone in the aftermath of the tragedy.
