South Central Railway Offers One Ticket for Multiple Pilgrimages from Hyderabad

South Central Railway has introduced a cost saving circulating journey ticket that allows pilgrims from Hyderabad to visit multiple sacred destinations on a single ticket with flexible routes and extended travel validity.

  • One ticket covers multiple pilgrimage destinations at a lower cost.
  • Hyderabad stations offer nineteen curated pilgrimage journeys.
  • Passengers can plan flexible breaks and return within fixed validity.

For devotees planning temple visits from Hyderabad but worried about rising travel costs South Central Railway has rolled out a practical and budget friendly solution. The circulating journey ticket allows passengers to visit several pilgrimage destinations using a single ticket while paying nearly a quarter less than regular fares.

Railway officials said the initiative is aimed at making spiritual travel easier for families senior citizens and frequent pilgrims. The facility is currently available from Secunderabad Kacheguda and Nampally railway stations with nineteen different pilgrimage circuits designed to cover major religious centres across the country.

Under this scheme travellers can break their journey at multiple locations and continue the trip using different trains. A maximum of eight break journeys are permitted and the overall ticket validity can extend up to fifty six days depending on distance. Officials said this flexibility makes it easier for pilgrims to plan temple visits at a comfortable pace.

Some of the popular routes include journeys from Nampally covering Mantralayam Tirupati Bengaluru Chennai and Bhadrachalam. From Secunderabad pilgrims can travel through Bijapur Kolhapur Vasco Mysuru Tirupati Chennai and return via Bhadrachalam Road. Kacheguda routes include Aurangabad Ujjain Tirupati Chennai Bengaluru Mysuru and Hubballi. Special long circuits from Bhadrachalam Road also connect Puri Howrah Varanasi Ayodhya Rishikesh Delhi Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Senior citizens receive additional concessions with discounts offered separately for men and women. Railway officials clarified that reservations must be done individually after purchasing the circulating ticket and berth availability will follow standard reservation rules.

To book the ticket passengers need to visit the divisional commercial manager office or chief reservation supervisor office at Secunderabad Kacheguda or Nampally stations. Officials will calculate fares and issue an application which can then be used at the booking counter. Railways suggest booking during non peak seasons and planning at least sixty days in advance for smoother travel.
